OUR PRODUCTS: The women of the Zulu nation used to earn pennies selling their handcrafted artwork at the side of the road. Now these industrious women earn enough to ensure the survival of their families, their communities and their culture. Through a co-op designed to facilitate the empowerment of the Zulu women , they can now sell their hand woven baskets and beadwork around the world. Not only does this endeavor help them to support their families, it gives the women a sense of control over their own destinies. In addition to supporting the efforts of these industrious women, when you purchase an item, you are getting more than just a basket . These handicrafts have the ability to tell a unique story with their colors and patterns. Each basket is considered a work of art and the larger baskets are highly sought after as collector pieces. |
